Recent Projects

Lono Music

Lono Music is the parent company for Hawaiian "old style" musician, Lono, who hails from the sleepy island of Moloka'i, HI. Lono's music is a modern rendering of classic Hawaiian melodies. 

Lono Music's prior website was a basic "all html" site that required manual maintenance. When a link was changed on the primary navigation menu, or when a page was added to the site, every page had to be manually updated to reflect this. Additionally, the shoping cart was a simple form that compiled the order into an email that was then sent to Lono Music for further processing. No payments were accepted on the site.

Now, this Drupal 7 website accepts credit cards and PayPal, features a catalog of all the CDs (products) sold through Lono Music, and has the new addition of a categorized Chords & Lyrics page where visitors can download, by album, chords and lyrics charts. We also added an attractive new theme for the site featuring one of Hawaii's most treasured trees - Kukui (candlenut). Look to the topbar on the site for its broad leaves glimmering in the last light of a beautiful day in paradise. 

To fill out the experience, music videos and reviews have been added to the site and are associated with specific CDs.

Artici.fr

Artici.fr is an marketplace of high quality products from artisans certified through the "chambre de métiers et de l'artisanat", a designation offered by the French government. This site offers e-commerce and a curated marketplace of items selected from artisans throughout France. Includes: product details page, product image gallery & zoom, cart and checkout, and blog.

The Sperm Bank of California

The nation's oldest and most well-respected non-profit sperm bank is based in Berkeley, California. It is a top 3 website for "sperm bank" and serves an international client base.

The website is a complex Drupal site that offers a sortable donor catalog and sibling catalog, CiviCRM integration for a customized donor application process, multiple types of content, digital downloads for sale, an e-commerce store for physical products, and highly specific views of information.

With two main groups of "customers", the site serves as an information clearinghouse, order center, and searchable system.

CiviCRM is an open source customer relationship management system that offers features equivalent to SalesForce, including reporting and contact details pages, e-newsletter blasts or one-on-one e-mails, scheduled meetings, the ability to track phone calls and messages, and many other trackable activities.

Gramercy & Co.

This luxury goods marketplace is a "Modern Atelier". The website features e-commerce, reviews, blog, category search, and a smooth product details zoom page.

Serving a clientele of high-net-worth customers, the site launched in December 2010 with an inventory of 20 products and in one year grew to 150+ products in three main divisions, with an average of $176 per sale. 

Special attention to details on this site included:

  • The ability for the administrator to easily promote items to the featured section on the homepage
  • Winning model and product photography
  • RSS Feeds that link directly to Facebook and Twitter outreach.
  • Ability to log in with a Facebook account
  • Quicktabs on the product details page
  • "You may also like" functionality
  • ShareaSale integration (an affiliate program) as well as an internal affiliate program.
  • A customer "Landing Dashboard" with a status message, friends lists, and private messaging
  • Community-building functions such as the award of points upon purchase, custom follow-up messages, and webforms to handle feedback
